MISSION
Not every person draws a salary bi-weekly or monthly and can budget with an expected number. Many individuals work for cash incentives, and usually, a minimal base pay. While this career choice can be incredibly fun and rewarding, this can also make it very difficult to properly budget your income.
Shake The Bank's initiative is to provide tools for these people looking for ways to set back a little cash and invest in themselves for the future.
When I look around, it appears to me that a lot of people are in search of "easy" ways to boost income and stack their savings.
BUT, LET’S BE REAL.
THERE IS NO MAGIC FORMULA TO MAKING MORE MONEY.
A little hard work and an abundance of intentionality can go a long way. I will absolutely not tell you that I have the magic answers to help boost your income and create magical wealth. What I can tell you is that I have ideas and a passion for helping divide the income you do have into allocated positions and make it work for you. We work hard for our money, but a lot of people are trying to figure out from shift to shift where last nights tips went. Having purpose and intentionality with income is the best way to get started. It is not easy, but it is effective.

A WORD FROM KYLE
First of all, thank you.
Thank you for allowing me to have a platform for my own continued learning, as well as educating you on things I’ve learned along the way.
The content on this site will be coming at you from the mindset of an individual who has spent most of their life in the hospitality industry. What does this mean? And why is this unique?
I deal primarily in cash, so the safety net of being on salary and having the same amount come in every two weeks or monthly is lifted. I have learned and explored ways to budget with fluctuating income.
This can be hurtful and helpful all at the same time.
BASICALLY, WE WORK TO EAT.
YOU WORK YOUR SHIFT, YOU GET PAID;
YOU DON’T WORK, YOU DON’T EAT.
The beneficial aspect of this is pure flexibility. In most situations you can pick up shifts, work doubles, or even consult on new programs to earn extra cash. You are in almost complete control of your income. In addition, in most scenarios, when you’re ready to travel you can take off without much consequence.
Also, as a part of my story, I have been fortunate enough to pick up shifts in other states and even long term stays in other countries. This not only helps you discover local hot spots, but also puts extra money in your pocket for travel while you’re traveling. Crazy right? Fortunate for sure.
The drawback of this is if you’re not working, you’re not making money. So it’s completely about balance. The ideal foundation of this formula is to work your face off and save up enough emergency cash to be able to not stress when exploring other places or cultures. At minimum, you’re usually budgeting a month ahead of time so you know what liquid spending power you have for the next 30 days.
Thank you for giving me a chance to learn with you, or turn on thought bubbles in your own life to be more financially secure.
